the role

What are we looking for

As an Assistant Controller, you will support the finance team with a broad range of controlling activities. You will be involved in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and help prepare management and board reports.

You will analyse financial results, identify deviations from budgets and forecasts, and support the preparation of new budgets and forecasts. In addition, you will contribute to improving internal processes and reporting tools.

You will work closely with both the Business Controller and Financial Controller, giving you the opportunity to learn quickly and develop your skills.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings
  • Preparing management and board reporting
  • Analysing financial results and identifying variances against budgets and forecasts
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Improving internal processes and reporting tools
  • Performing ad-hoc financial analyses for management
  • Working closely with the Business Controller and Financial Controller

What are we
looking for

We are looking for someone who is analytical, curious and eager to develop within the field of controlling.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance, Controlling or a related field
  • 0–3 years of relevant work experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Proactive and curious mindset
  • Willingness to learn and take responsibility
  • Good command of both Dutch and English
  • Gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €3,800, based on a 40-hour working week and depending on experience
  • 25–27 annual leave days
