What are we looking for

As a Business Controller, you act as a financial and operational sparring partner for business unit management.

You will prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and business cases related to volumes, costs and margins. A key part of your role is analysing logistics and operational cost structures, including transport, warehousing and purchasing.

You translate financial data into clear management information and practical recommendations. In addition, you identify risks and opportunities within the supply chain and actively contribute to improving business and reporting processes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Advising business unit management on operational and financial performance
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and business cases
  • Analysing logistics and operational cost structures
  • Translating financial data into clear management information and actionable advice
  • Improving business and reporting processes
  • Identifying risks and opportunities within the supply chain
  • Working closely with Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Participating in projects focused on cost optimisation and efficiency improvements

What are we
looking for

We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional with a strong interest in operational and supply chain processes.

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance & Control or a related field
  • At least 3–5 years of experience as a Business Controller
  • Preferably experience within logistics, agrifood or another operational environment
  • Strong affinity with supply chain and operational processes
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Experience with BI tools
  • Ability to translate financial information into practical operational advice
  • Good command of both Dutch and English
  • Gross monthly salary between €4,500 and €6,500, depending on experience
