GL Accountant – International Corporate Organisation

Take ownership of the general ledger within an international corporate environment. You will combine accurate accounting with reporting, reconciliations, audits and continuous process improvement.

What are we looking for

As a GL Accountant, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and supporting reliable financial reporting.

You will be involved in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, prepare and post journal entries, accruals and provisions, and perform balance sheet analyses and reconciliations.

You will also help ensure that financial data is recorded correctly and on time in accordance with internal and international accounting standards. In addition, you will support internal and external audits and contribute to improving processes within the General Ledger environment.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and monitoring the general ledger
  • Performing monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, accruals and provisions
  • Performing balance sheet analyses and reconciliations
  • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial data
  • Supporting internal and external audits
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements within General Ledger
  • Working closely with international finance teams and shared service centres

What are we
looking for

We are looking for a precise and structured finance professional who feels comfortable working in a complex international environment.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
  • Accountancy, Business Economics or a related field
  • At least 2–5 years of relevant experience as a GL Accountant or in a similar accounting role
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is a plus
  • Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Workday
  • Accurate, structured and able to work effectively with deadlines
  • Strong communication skills in an international environment
  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English
  • Gross monthly salary between €3,800 and €5,200, depending on experience
    26–28 annual leave days
