Hardware Engineer

As a Hardware Engineer, you’ll work on challenging automation projects for customers in industries such as food & beverage, logistics, manufacturing, process industry, and high-tech machine building. Together with a multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for designing complete electrical installations, control cabinets, and field layouts for automated production systems. From concept and engineering to commissioning support, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and future-proof automation solutions.

What are we looking for

As a Hardware Engineer, you design the electrical hardware for industrial automation systems. You translate customer requirements, functional descriptions and technical standards into complete and reliable hardware designs.

You work closely with PLC Software Engineers, Project Engineers, Panel Builders and Commissioning Engineers throughout every phase of the project.

  • Design electrical hardware for automation systems.
  • Design control cabinets and power distribution.
  • Create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Work with EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel.
  • Translate specifications into hardware designs.
  • Select components and prepare BOMs.
  • Apply electrical standards and directives.
  • Support panel construction, FAT, SAT and commissioning.
  • Improve engineering methods and design libraries.

What are we
looking for

We are looking for a structured and quality-focused Hardware Engineer who can work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary project team. You have strong analytical skills and can turn technical requirements into safe and practical electrical designs.

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Strong EPLAN Electric P8 knowledge.
  • EPLAN Pro Panel experience is preferred.
  • Control cabinet design experience.
  • Knowledge of PLC control systems.
  • Familiar with industrial networks.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good command of English.
  • Dutch is an advantage.
