Before moving to the Netherlands, Estelman already had a permanent contract in Portugal and was working in technical and industrial environments. He was not actively looking for a new job. But when the opportunity to work in the Netherlands came along, he immediately saw the potential for growth.
It meant leaving behind his comfort zone, his language and the life he knew. A major decision, but also a chance to build something new.

That guidance gave him confidence and made it easier to focus on adapting to a new country and starting his career in the best possible way. Relocating was still a big step, but he did not have to figure everything out alone.
Estelman started his career in the Netherlands as an Assembly Mechatronics Technician in a cleanroom environment. From there, his career developed step by step. Through consistency, initiative and a willingness to learn, he first became a Shift Leader and later a back-up Team Leader. Today, he works as a Team Leader, managing people, production, quality, safety and delivery performance within a cleanroom production department.
His progress did not happen overnight. It was built through experience, responsibility and the determination to keep moving forward.
The move changed more than Estelman’s career. Living and working in another country made him more independent, adaptable and open-minded. It taught him how to work with different cultures, deal with new ways of thinking and communicate confidently in another language.
It also created greater stability and new possibilities for his family. Moving abroad was not always easy, but it gave him opportunities he believes he would not have found by staying within his comfort zone.
His advice to other engineers and technicians is simple: remain open-minded and give yourself the opportunity to try. For Estelman, moving to the Netherlands did not just open a door. It changed the direction of his life and created opportunities he had never expected.
